Commissioning

In deciding to commission a piece of furniture you are placing your trust in me to deliver something special. It must meet your needs practically and emotionally - that is to say, it must be both beautiful and functional.

Some clients have a clear idea of what they require whilst others are looking for a design solution from myself. It is nice to be given 'carte blanche' but the development of the design is always a two way process.

After initial contact I will often do some preliminary sketches and give an approximate price. We can then have further discussions followed by scale drawings and a quote. When the design is finalised the price and completion date are agreed and a deposit of 30% is taken (with the balance due on delivery/collection).
